Unfortunately, most people are entirely unaware they use the same old thinking, often believing their good is being delayed because of bad luck or someone else’s inferior decision making. This type of thinking causes disruptions of all kinds. It’s here inferior thinking creates casualties in careers, relationships, health, and creative endeavors. Even worse, most unintelligent thoughts or “inferior” thoughts are also fueled by will power. Held long enough, they become unfulfilled expectations and usually disappoint us.
Poverty Thinking
If left unchecked and unexamined, these thoughts can often lead to a cycle of poverty thinking; you start to believe that scarcity of better results is unavoidable for someone like you. This is called “poverty thinking,” and unfortunately it can convince you that your good is being withheld by someone you associate with, your circumstances at birth, or because of some misfortune beyond your control. Poverty is a powerful thought, but so too is prosperity. Which do you think about daily in your life? Do you think poor health is normal at your age? Is a temptation for substance abuse typical for someone with your family history? Is a feeling of unworthiness something routine you experience in life? Is a particular circumstance leading you to a feeling of resignation?
